Google Accounts 2.0?

There have been a lot of discussions recently regarding Google services and the Google Account area, and people have been complaining about the look and feel of the Google Accounts area for ages. Well, maybe that's about to change...

Whilst checking the "Change authorized websites" link a few days ago, I noticed that the "My Account" link in the top right hand corner linked to this page (which works now but at the time produced the standard "The page you requested is invalid. " error):

https://www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount2

(Note the number "2" at the end of the URL.)

This made me check the other pages too where I then found these, which you need to be logged in to see:

Password
V1: https://www.google.com/accounts/EditPasswd
V2: https://www.google.com/accounts/EditPasswd2

Security Question & Contact Info
V1: https://www.google.com/accounts/EditSecureUserInfo
V2: https://www.google.com/accounts/EditSecureUserInfo2

Name and more:
V1: https://www.google.com/accounts/EditUserInfo
V2: https://www.google.com/accounts/EditUserInfo2

... and others.

(Note the addition of the "Help" link in the top right and sometimes a change in wording – i.e. "Edit password" vs. "Change password".)

It's a bit weird because there's no menu, but perhaps this means Google are actually looking at improving the Google Accounts area...?

Yep – it says ©2006 Google so they must've done it this year...

Excellent, I hope you're right Tony. The google accounts page looks awful at the moment.

By the way, why does there seem to be so many rumours of products, new features, overhauls etc at google this week?

I've also always wondered why not all the services that I'm subscribed at are on the Account Pages. Anybody any idea?

Wow! Nice catch. This is just what Google needed to do next. Remember this too:

https://www.google.com/accounts2

Maybe it will go there.

I see some difference in the other pages but no difference in

www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount
www.google.com/accounts/ManageAccount2

I'm sure you all saw that already.

I think they did that only in order to us, we talk about them :)

Nice discover Tony!

Note that there is a NEW link for remove data of "Google Browser Sync" :-)
