Could someone share a source code of such message ("show orginal")? |
Sankar Anand | 18 years ago # |
i dont understand >? do you want that mail to be forwarded to you ? or what ? |
Art-One | 18 years ago # |
nice player, Ludwik, could you forward my test to me plz, hope I can see the player then too ;-) |

Ludwik:
X-Voicemail-Length: 4 Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
--=_mfOIgPLmPu4ETtCVACSMXGMT0ZIdyHRku Content-Type: audio/mpeg Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="TOMHTML.mp3"
And the base64 for the mp3 |

looks great! but why are they using the google video one? wouldn't it be better to offer the one that is in google reader? why would you need to fullscreen an audio message?! unless they are planning on introducing video into GTalk, and you will be able to send videomails. now that would be cool! |

I have the new version of Google Talk, but no change in Gmail, so I don't have the built-in player :-(
pretty useful this new version, they have done all what we expected!!! Thanks Gmail/Gtalk team :) |

dpneal | 18 years ago # |
yours has got the google video bit on the right hand side of the player |
Sankar Anand | 18 years ago # |
but i think you have edited it my mistake ?
i mean while censoring etc... did you check it in your mail ? |
dpneal | 18 years ago # |
nope i haven't edited it. i've checked in my gmail, and it's exactley as i've posted it. are you still seing the google video bar? |
Sankar Anand | 18 years ago # |
yes i still get but non of them are buffering or streaming...
did you install the latest version of flash player ? i mean adobe flash player..... |
dpneal | 18 years ago # |
just used the one i've got. that shouldn't make a difference though. is anyone else seeing the google video version? i can't see why they would have put this in gmail. maybe it's your cache Sankar, but not really sure how it could be. |
Art-One | 18 years ago # |

Google uses this player for voicemail. It's the same as for Google Video.
http://mail.google.com/mail/html/audio.swf
Maybe there's a problem with the width of the player. |
dpneal | 18 years ago # |
no one else can see it apart from Sankar. Why would the have video controls for audio though? thats just stupid. |
Sankar Anand | 18 years ago # |
maybe google likes me.. ha ha just kidding. i dont know why i have like that...
i dont use google video at all. not even visited google video site for the past 4 months ? then how come! i think maybe a width problem as inoux said |
Josue R. | 18 years ago # |
i can't see it yet but it seems to me that the video controls could be for a future or soon-to-be-release option to send webcam video captures or Google Video attachments, etc to GMail users. just think about it. |

Josue R. >it seems to me that the video controls
Take a look at a snippet of gmail code
<b>Voicemail </b></td></tr><tr><td> <div id="vmfp_0" style="width: 500 px; height: 27px;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf -96b8-444553540000" codebase="http : // fpdownload.macro media.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/fl ash/swflash.cab#version=7,0 ,0,0" align="middle" height="27" width="500"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain"><param n ame="movie" value="https : //mail.google.com/ma il/html/audio.swf"><param name="F lashVars" value="backgroundColor=0xEEEE EE&audioUrl=https%3A%2F %2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F %3Fview%3Datt%26disp%3Dmp3% 26attid%3D0.1%26th%3D10cb60565 95e62af%26saduie%3D1egnamc4qd m9v8u91rh3q2e01y514jk%26sadet% 3D1154141793786%26sads%3D72 c69652b78184942849de4421c66188 "><param name="quality" value="best">
the key thing to grab is this line https://mail.google.com/mail/html/audio.swf It come up with an empty full screen Google video screen (notice the Google video icon in the bottom right hand corner

Sorry Ionut, I just read your post and realized you already said what I posted. One thing I did forget to mention though in the last post was to also take a look at the param name=movie snippet, I think this is the most telling |
