If they use RSS feed to gather a news from the source site, it could be that there was an error in RSS parser ( Google side) or in RSS source itself ( Source-site side).
PS: Did you know, that there is a limit RSS file cannot exceed? (according to the specification). So, if source-site generates too large RSS file, probably it won't be indexed or at least it will crash during RSS validation. |
Usually Google News doesn't index RSS, but HTML... |
They should parse the RSS. But probably they'll get the news slower in this case. |
maby not all news sides have a rss feed (or maby rss was not so popular while they develop google news..) |
I know that Google News team is working on a kind of "console" where the webmasters of the "sources" sites could be avoid this problem and others... ;-)
and no, Google news doesn't use RSS feeds, their bot only check the home page of a site (or its heading "news"). |
