on a side note, you would think that with the increasing number of services which can become unavailable at any time, they would go ahead and update the look of the logo and stuff on the "service not available page". Looks like an error straight out of 1998.

btw – concerning Picasa Web. Is there any hope they will release an API to allow you to embed whole albums inside other webpages – not just a picture here and there, but full albums and all the associated features.

Was down, but now works for me..

Fine for me.

If a site goes down for a day or more, it's reasonable to be worried. PicasaWeb didn't work 30 minutes or so. Blogger was down two days ago for more than an hour. It's not that serious.

Why dont we all digg it and make it todays biggest news.

Many sites go down unnoticed.

Looks to be an unplanned outage – there are no visible changes (the settings page is a good place to look – that's where the last change to send email digests showed up) once it was back up again, and the javascript still looks to be unchanged.

Has there always been comments and "embedd in myspace/blog"? Don't seem to remember those...

Just saw the option to upload directly into Picasa Web Albums. I swear these are new features.

adam b. the embedd is myspace/blog has been there since the beginning. Check my blog and look at the column on the right. Three bullets down is "My Pictures". This is an example of what the embed code that is generated does.
