Along with the news of Google Gears announced today, Google announced Google Mashup editor.

Explanation from the Google Mashup Editor page:
"Create mashups using our simple online editor.

Heh. Yeah, they're getting more clever though. For example, this link doesn't work:

https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=ah

You have to include the continue, ltmpl and sig parameters.

I wonder how many more are like that...

You basically have to write code, not too much code. But you still have to type stuff even for simple things.

Yeah, it's like an IDE for creating HTML/JS/CSS apps (including various Google APIs, like the Google Maps API, if you want, but you can also do simple stuff like including an RSS feed) for use as e.g. Google gadgets, and they'll be hosted at e.g. http://philipptest1.googlemashups.com).

DeWitt Clinton from Google posted that they would start releasing invitations in batches for the Google Mashup Editor.
