Snoop lyric: "It's the mutherfu*kin D-O-double-G."

Double G? No wonder Google likes the song.

Sigh, you can't shift click an album thumbnail to make it open in a new window.
Also, why doesn't Picasa allow a Creative Commons option for pics (or do they)?

I think I recognize Niniane Wang, but not sure. Anyone confirm? Blame me if not ^^

And yeah, you can't shift click on the thumbnails and it's very a bad thing :-S

Think we can be happy Colin Colehour wasn't assaulted for trying to take pics:

<<For example, rather than simply tell me up front that they would prefer that we not take pictures of people unless we get permission, let me share with you how I found out.

One of the great things about the Google party is the amount of cool and off the wall activities in which you can participate. As I am not only an author, I am also a photo blogger, part of the way I tell a story is to capture it visually. I went to take a game of a few people playing twister…nothing abnormal, nothing incriminating, not even an angle from which faces are visible, but just as I got in position to snap the shot, this particular handler grabbed my arm, pulled me, and said, “you’re not allowed to take pictures of people without their permission.”

It was a bit embarrassing. All I could say was sorry, that I didn’t know.

After that little incident…I just felt a bit numb to the whole thing.

So for the rest of the time that I was there, we just focused on getting the demo on video, and snapping pictures of miscellaneous stuff all the while being escorted around to make sure we obeyed the rules.

At one point, I asked, “do you really have to follow us everywhere we go?” The answer was, “as long as you have your equipment out, then yes.”

So we walked by the karaoke booth, which I really wanted to shoot and share with you…but, I couldn’t snap it because I was reminded that I “especially” need their permission for this shot – and I wasn’t about to stop their fun to ask.

It felt as if I was a teenager again walking around a store with security following and analyzing my every move.>>

I understand it was in Google's best interest to keep tabs on any press members that were either filming the event with a professional video camera or taking shots with a digital camera. The thing that kinda irks me is how Conference Attendees were allowed to do whatever they pleased without having escorts. Granted they weren't given free reign of the entire campus. They weren't alllowed into buildings unless there was a Google Dance event held in that building and Security kept them herded in the areas that they were allowed in.

The Conference Attendees could take pics of anything they desired and I've seen a ton of pics that have people's faces shown. Even Google had their own photographer there that took about 500 pics of the event. Most of which showed nothing but happy smiling faces. If Google doesn't have a problem with privacy of their party guests, and the intended party guests (Conference Attendees) don't have a problem with privacy then why limit outside press on what they can and can't take pictures of?

It was my first time at SES San Jose – had a blast at the Google party.. was definitely a great time... a lot more fun and crazier than I expected.. – can't wait for next year :) Thanks for the pics.. it is nice to see some great shots :)

We were with Travelworm.com
not sure if it is ok to post the URL here or if this is moderated.. if it is an issue please feel free to delete if that is not acceptable, but just adding it since we were part of the conference..

Thanks!!
Kristine

Google has posted YouTube video about their working culture officially too. This 'An Inside Look at Google – Working at Google' is only two months old:

I think the best You Tube vidoes I could find were from the blue screen Karaoke that they had during the event. If you go to Youtube and type in Google Dance you will get a bunch of them. This one is my favorite Google Dance video http://youtube.com/watch?v=n7rVs2ITKLI , but there are a lot of other funny ones. Its like American Idol Google Dance Style.
