Google Calendar has another one:

Try adding an appointment and next to the button "Create Event" you'll see the button "I'm Feeling Lucky". Pressing this button generates a random appointment in your calendar. For example I'm getting "Date with George Bush" or "Date with Jessica Alba."

Hey, don't forget where Google got all these ideas from:

"Question: Looking for April Fools gags for our site"
http://uclue.com/?xq=1678

and there are two other Foolish questions amongst today's legitimate "Recently Answered Questions" here:

Tony Ruscoe [PersonRank 10]

Roger, that's brilliant! :-D

[moved from "Google Calendar April Fool's Joke"]

In Google Calendar today, when adding a new event, an extra button labelled "I'm Feeling Lucky" appears. When clicked, it adds a random event at a random date/time on the screen with such descriptions like "Date with Anna Kournikova" or "Date with Angelina Jolie".

My BIG question is: Do Google employees work year around on this, wasting a few hours every week or do they just work full time on all this during March? It's fun, but the effort put into this is insane =P

Google Docs offline is definitely not part of the April Fool's joke. It was announced on the 31st, not on the 1st.

"this has to be the silliest joke of them all, because in this day
and age, nobody is ever offline, so it’s a useless feature."

I disagree. Anyone working on a laptop is going to be without internet service from time to time and will still want access to their docs. This happens to me often, whether at starbuck's (I won't pay for the internet), at airports, or the majority of businesses that do not offer wi-fi. Most of the world does not have free wi-fi access...
...yet.

Also, Google has been working towards this kind of functionality for a while with Google Gears. It makes a lot of sense.

Google docs offline is definitely not an April Fool's joke

But great list anyway! I wasn't aware of many of these!

Just a heads up – your math on the Microsoft paying people not to use Google bit is completely off. You're missing a few zeros in that calculation.

I was reading an article from Le Monde, the most famous French newspaper, about 2008 April Jokes.

The journalist talks about Le Monde's competitor (Libération), which to covers Google's pranks when Le Monde focused extremeironing.com (really not funny)? Then, in the middle of the article, the journalist says: "Libération.fr has chosen to give a hand to a little search engine who goes up: Google".

Being used to Le Monde's style of writing, I don't think he's joking whith the "little" adjective. That's amazing thats journalist still consider "little" a company who is in the top ten NYSE market cap...

About Google Docs offline access, which might not be april fool's joke, because Google has been planning offline access for mobile devices in case they get disconnected, so they won't lose their work:
